EDITH MAY KOSKIE On Friday, 21 July 2000, after a lengthy illness, Edith May Koskie, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 83. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her son Wes (Marjorie) daughters, Betty (Murray) Nimchuk and Valerie Koskie; four granddaughters, Cindy Nimchuk, Tracey (Rod) Bell, Audra (Mark) Morrison, Linda (Andy) Egtberts; five great-grandchildren, Chad and Brittany Bell, Ryan Morrison, Amber and Hailey Egtberts and three sisters, Ellen Yestrau, Winnie Koskie and Mamie (Jim) Farquharson. Mom was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1993; brother Chris Belsham and sister Gladys Squires. Mom was born on 23 March 1917 and raised in the Anola area where she met and married Alex in 1938. There they raised their family and remained active members of the Anola community. Mom was well known for her cake decorating, sewing and catering. She was an active member of the Anola U.C.W., Chatelaine Club and the Anola Over 50 Club. We wish to express our sincere thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital, Fort Garry Care Centre and the Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Anola United Church. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
