GOD SAW YOU GETTING WEARY God saw you getting weary, And a cure was not to be. He knew that you were suffering, So He wrapped you in His loving arms, And He closed your weary eyes. He did what He thought was best, He came and stood beside you, And whispered "Come and rest, peace be thine." You suffered much in silence, Your spirit did not bend, You faced your pain with courage, Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us, Your fight was all in vain, God took you in His loving arms And saved you from much more pain. Our hearts still ache with sadness, And secret tears will flow, For what it meant to lose you, No one will ever know.
