Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET KLEPPE (BAKKEN) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a very special mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, wife, and friend. Peacefully on July 23, 2000, Margaret Kleppe, aged 85 years, left us to be held eternally in the arms of her loving Lord. Margaret was born in Bromhead, Sask. on January 22, 1915. Growing up on the farm, she fell in love with her hired hand sweetheart, Karl. On July 8, 1936, at the age of 21, they were married, and their love for each other carried them through 50 happy years. Margaret spent a number of years working at Deer Lodge Hospital with the Dietary staff-but later became interested in a nursing career. She received her LPN degree with honors at the age of 53. This was truly her calling, as she always displayed a genuine concern for everyone she came in contact with. She had a dedicated healing touch. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Karl, and two sisters, Edna and Emma. She is survived by three sons, Albert of Edmonton, Alberta, Karl and his wife Betty of Winnipeg, Don of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, John (Beulah) of Balgonie, Saskatchewan, Knut (Ruth) of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; nine grandchildren, Danny, Sherri, Lori, Kevin, Greg, Carrie, Susan, Jonathan, Stephen; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all her friends and loved ones. We know that Margaret touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She is a true gem in all of our eyes. We love you and we miss you. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 2nd floor at Golden West Centennial Lodge for their love and care for Margaret during her final years. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 500-55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 or a charity of their choice.
