Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIELUISE GERTRUDE BOYCE (MONKMAN) (nee LIPPERT) November 11, 1934 - July 20, 2000 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, our friend, Marieluise Gertrude Boyce, affectionately known to everyone as "Lilo". Lilo was born in Leipzig, Germany on November the eleventh, 1934 and left us July 20, 2000, in Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 65 years. Left to mourn her passing are her children: Raymond (Jean), Karin (Miles), Michele (Harold) and Vivian Henry; plus six grandchildren. Also, many friends have celebrated the uniqueness of this special lady and a few chosen, Ella Magwood, Betty Preston, Irene Towarnicki and Margaret and Paul Radics will forever be known as people who went beyond the call of duty as Lilos friends. Lastly, we mention one special lady, her sister Ruth Raak and her family in Germany, who came to Canada to see and meet with Lilo and her family after a forty-year separation. Life held many challenges for Lilo, and she met each one with a bulldog determination to overcome and is some cases, master. She loved to read and loved a good debate. Many will miss her fiery sense of justice and take charge outlook on life. Lilos life has left a lasting impression on everyone whose life she touched and the neighbourhood wont be the same without her. She will be fondly remembered by her first husband Ted Monkman, father of her children and good friend Rae. Her second husband, Fredrick Boyce and her eldest grandson, Dustin Vandermaar predeceased her. Remembering her life will also be a special uncle, Ralph Williams who helped Lilo in certain ways that no one else could have. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held at Sherwood Park Church of God, 554 Marsden St. on Wednesday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m. Special thanks to Dr. Stadnyk and the staff of Concordia Hospital for their thoughtful consideration of Moms health and well being. "May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding..." Funeral Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 HESPELER AVENUE 668-3151
