ELIZABETH (BETTY) JACK Peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2000 at Central Park Lodge (Poseidon), Elizabeth (Betty) Jack, at the age of 84. Betty was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1981, also by a sister and two brothers in Scotland and is survived by son Peter Jr., also two brothers and numerous relations in Scotland. Betty was born in Perth, Scotland October 6, 1915 and had lived in Winnipeg since 1949. Her new home built by husband Peter was flooded out the next year, but she remained in her Riverview home for nearly 50 years until ill health forced her to leave in 1997. Betty was a quiet person but she made many friends with her warm friendly personality and generous nature. Betty travelled widely over the years, the annual spring trip with Peter down to the "Gulf" but especially her many long visits back to her beloved Scotland. A very special thanks to Ruby and Greg MacGregor, Bettys dear friends for nearly 50 years, for their kindness over the years, it was greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the 4th Floor Staff Central Park Lodge for the kindness and care shown Mum the last two years.
