ELSIE GENEVIEVE JOHNSTON (nee HORSMAN) On Friday, July 21, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Elsie Johnston of Roland, Man. passed away at the age of 86 years. She was born November 11, 1913 in Roland Municipality and she lived there all her life. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Bruce and wife Connie of Roland; daughter-in-law Marlene Cowell of Winnipeg; granddaughters, Terra, Kellie, Carly, Andrea and Ainsley Johnston; sisters-in-law, Jennie Horsman of Roland, Alberta Horsman of Carman, Ann Horsman of Edmonton and many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold; son Lyle; brothers, Jack, Garfield and Lorne Horsman. Elsie will be remembered for being a loving and generous person who loved gatherings of family and friends. Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface General Hospital and Carman Memorial Hospital for their special care. A private family interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery in Roland on Wednesday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m. A public memorial service will be held from the Roland United Church in Roland on Wednesday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Chuck Ross officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 2B7 or to a charity of their choice.
