EVA KYLE HUTCHINGS (nee PRITCHARD) December 18, 1899 - July 23, 2000 On Sunday, July 23, 2000 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Aunt Eva passed away at the age of 100 years and seven months. She was born in East St. Paul, the eighth child of a family of nine children. She attended school in Middlechurch. Aunt Eva loved music and played the banjo in the family orchestra with her sister Elsie and brother Bert. Her occupation in life was hairdressing and she had her own business for many years. She married Samuel George Hutchings in 1928 and he predeceased her in 1969. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Villa, Nettie, Millie, Elsie, Maudie and brothers, Rodney, Bert and baby Ranceler. She is survived by her nieces, Margy, Myrtle and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. On December 18, 1999, she celebrated her 100th birthday by playing her banjo with the band in attendance. Sincere thanks to Mary and the emergency staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and the recreation and nursing staff at Maples Personal Care Home for their care and compassion to Aunt Eva during her time in their care and also their kindness to Margy and Myrtle. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. Pauls Anglican Church (Middlechurch), Balderstone Ave., West St. Paul, Wednesday, July 26 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Pauls Anglican Church (Middlechurch), West St. Paul.
