PETER BLACK It is with great sadness that on Monday, July 24, 2000, we announce the passing of a special father, father-in-law, grandfather, husband and friend. Peter passed away from a heart attack while doing yard work; active right up to the last minute. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home 83 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, on Friday, July 28 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery. Left to cherish his loving spirit are his wife Christine of 49 years; children Elizabeth, Charles and Robert; sister-in-law Robin, grandchildren Dylan and MacKenzie and his dog Cinnamon. Peter taught school at the Portage Collegiate Institute for 13 years and then at Vincent Massey Collegiate in Fort Garry until his retirement in 1989. For everything there is an appointed season And a time for everything under heaven- A time for sharing, a time for caring, and a time for remembering. The Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, are in care of the funeral arrangements.
