STEVEN PATRICK (HUNTZ) MEISNER It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Steven Patrick (Huntz) Meisner, aged 32 years of Winnipeg, MB on July 23, 2000. Steve knew how to celebrate life. He met the love of his life years ago and married Lori Ann Young on September 20, 1997. Although they spent a short time together as husband and wife, Steven often said his life was complete the day he married Lori. Steven was known as the "idea man". There was always one or two or 100 projects on the go. Steve, always giving, lending a hand and being thoughtful, the impact he had on so many lives made up for all of the uncompleted projects. Steve had a contagious laugh, intelligent wit and the most honest heart a man could have. One look in his eyes, which is the mirror of the soul, one could see the genuine gentleness of his heart. Steve is survived by his wife Lori, Mom Sigrun, Dad Erwin (Margaret), brother (his best buddy) Peter (Maureen), sister-in-law Shelley (Reid) special sister and brother Ronalda and Duane, mother and father-in-law Jim and Kathy, and many many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Steve was loved by all. Steve is predeceased by his grandparents, Gudjon and Gertrude Bjornsson and Emil and Emma Meisner. Friends and relatives may pay their respects between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at NBI Services, 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street), Winnipeg, MB. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg, MB with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating. Service will conclude at the church, with cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be Dean Thorlacius, Mike Yarema, Karl Hasse, Rick Tober, Glen Bittner and Gerald Gosselin. Everyone in attendance can consider themselves honorary pallbearers for Steve. Special thanks to Uncle Chuck, Cousin Dawn and nurse Neila at the Pine Falls Hospital, Dr. Paul Kerr and all the nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB Arrangements by Arnason Funeral Homes, Ltd.
