Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARNOLD ANTON GREENING On Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Arnold Greening passed away at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anne; daughters, Kathy (Bill) Martens, Carol (Ian) Brand; sons, Grant (Shirley), and Greg; grandchildren, Keith (Kim), Kurt, Corey, Karen (Guy), Alexander, Eric and Shane; great-grandchildren, Colton, Kyle and Duncan; her sister Tillie Smorang; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, August and Emily; brothers, Albert, Ed, Emil, Rudy; sisters, Teenie, Adeline, Lydia; and his son Edward. Arnold was born in Libau, MB, and had farmed in the Libau District all his life. He was a very special man, gentle, caring, who loved his family, and was deeply loved. He enjoyed his life to the fullest and in his later years enjoyed being involved with his sons in the operation of the family farm. Arnold enjoyed talking about his life as a boy and a young man growing up on the family farm. He was also a very religious man whose love for God showed in everything that he did and every place that he went. Arnold was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Selkirk and he had a special admiration for Pastor Terry Throndson. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Selkirk, with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. A private family interment of ashes to take place at a later date. The family would like to send sincere thanks to the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital and Drs. Lindenschmidt, Nesbitt and Fuchs for their care of Arnold. Donations may be made in Arnolds name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
