Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKUN-WONG MAN December 23, 1927 - July 24, 2000 Kun-Wong passed away peacefully on July 24, 2000. He will be lovingly cherished by his wife Shiu-Mi; sons, Daniel, Eric (wife Pam White) daughters, Rosemary (husband Andrew Chan), Phoebe, and seven grandchildren, Andre and Danielle Man, Julia and Cameron Man, Mangie Chan, Boeseya and Siyee Man-VanDyck. Kun-Wong was born in Canton, China and moved to Hong Kong at a young age. Being an industrious person, he established a successful meat business. In 1974, he immigrated to Canada to make a better life for his family. Kun-Wong was a hard worker throughout his life, rarely missing a days work. For the past five years, he accepted dialysis treatments with courage and dignity, always showing a smile instead of a tear. He enjoyed morning walks, Ma-Jong, dim-sum, and many friendships, however, his greatest joy was his grandchildren. Kun-Wong was an extraordinary man. He always maintained a good attitude about life and never dwelled on his hardships. His generosity and unconditional love will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Special thanks to all the Dialysis Unit staff for their exemplary care, and in particular Dr. Verrelli, his primary nurse Ruth, and dietitian Maj Ma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 200-55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 1L8. Funeral service will take place in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Saturday, July 29 at 2:30 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
