GRACE (THERESA MARGARET) LEMIRE (nee KETTER) Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at the Concordia Hospital, our beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, relative and friend went to her eternal rest. Grace will be sorely missed by her brother Joe Ketter (Nettie) and their family of Winnipeg; sister Agnes Thorsteinson of Selkirk, Man.; brother Ignace Ketter of St. Paul, Minnesota and sister-in-law Denise Lemire of Winnipeg. She will also be lovingly remembered by godchildren, relatives and friends. Grace was predeceased by her husband Lou in 1984; her parents; two brothers; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; niece Lynda Dowsett; nephew Tom Thorsteinson, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Grace was born and raised in Winnipeg. She was employed with Eatons Mail Order for many years. Her great joy was spending time at her cottage in Falcon Lake amongst many family and friends. She was an avid reader (enjoying mainly westerns), and loved to knit. Her one quirk was "Im so popular with phone conversations with friends and family." Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 2 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street at 2:00 p.m. presided by Reverend Father Pierre Wood O.F.M. Cap. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Dowsett, Ron Ketter, Richard Adams, Calvin Thorsteinson, Merv Haines and Sid Thompson. The family express their sincere gratitude to the nursing staff of Concordia Hospital who were involved in the care of Grace.
