EDWARD J. LESKIW It is with deep sadness Eds family announces his passing on July 18, at the Riverview Hospital, at the age of 59. He was predeceased by his father Joseph and brother Bill. Ed was born in Brandon and attended David Livingstone School, later moving to Shilo with his family. Initially, Eds career choice was a firefighter, however, he later joined the Winnipeg Police, where he was promoted to Detective. He enjoyed his work very much and was never at a loss for a colourful anecdote. Ed was a vital man, and his interests were always varied and challenging, from diving with the Rescue Team to piloting his own plane. He also excelled as a marksman and was an avid hockey player. He made his family very proud. The family would like to thank the Riverview Palliative Care Ward for their excellent care. Also most appreciated were the visits from Eds friends. A very special thank you to Carol Leskiw for being there when needed. In keeping with Eds wishes, there was no funeral. A family gathering took place in Brandon on July 23. Ed will be greatly missed and always remembered by his wife Donna; mother Natalia; brothers Greg and Richard and sister Debbie. Rest in Peace husband, son and brother
