DOUGLAS KNIGHT It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father on Sunday, July 30, 2000 Left to cherish his memory are his wife Viola of 49 years and his son Stewart and daughter-in-law Carla; his sister Myra Childe (Ivor) and brother Lawrence (Theresa). He was predeceased by his father George, mother Julia, brothers, Edward, Geordie, John, Stanley, William, Harry, Joe and sister Jennie Downing. Doug was born in Tyndall, Manitoba, on December 8, 1920 and married his dear wife Viola on July 28, 1951. Together they farmed in the Libau area for many years and retired to Winnipeg until Dougs untimely passing. Doug was a longtime member of the Independent Order of Forresters and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Health Sciences Centre and Deer Lodge Centre. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment Garden of The Old Rugged Cross, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations in Dougs memory can be made to a charity of ones choice. Doug will be sadly, but always remembered and loved by his family and friends.
