REINHARDT "REINY" SMITH Peacefully on July 31, 2000, at Concordia Hospital, Reiny, aged 84 years, of Winnipeg, passed away. Reiny was predeceased by his wife Dolly in 1983. He is survived by his son Garris; daughter-in-law Frances; brothers, Ed and Adolphe; sister Lil; also by grandson Cole (Jane), Vaughn (Collette) great-grandchildren, Chloe and Addison. Reiny was born in Winnipeg, July 22, 1916, married Dolly Olson and spent all their years in Winnipeg and summers at Gull Lake. He loved to work hard all his life and was employed at Alsips, Stubbys, Ogilvies, Ashdowns and Acklands, after which he retired. Reiny pursued a new career in his retirement years, repairing and refurbishing drum equipment, which he loved. He was a great story teller and a friend to all. "Thanks for the memories" Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, followed by a celebration of Reinys life and memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Childrens Wish Foundation," 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 3J2. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel; 338-0331.
