Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOIS FALLOON 1910 - 2000 It is with sadness that we announce the death of Lois Falloon at the St. Norbert Nursing Home on Sunday, July 30, 2000. Lois leaves to mourn her brother Maurice (Lillian), sister-in-law Betty, sister Beryl Fallis (Kenneth) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Sam and Fannie Falloon and her brother Douglas. Lois was born on the family farm near Foxwarren, Manitoba on November 17, 1910. She received her early education at Foxwarren and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1936. Lois taught school in Manitoba for 11 years, starting at the one room Ellice School near Foxwarren after which she taught high school in Ridgeville, Gilbert Plans and Killarney. From 1942 to 1944 Lois worked at a war arms plant in Montreal. She then joined the firm of Zellers Ltd. where she spent 28 years working at various stores and at head office in Montreal in an Executive capacity until her retirement. Lois family were very important to her and in 1980 she moved to Winnipeg in order to be closer to them. Special thanks from the family to those who were so kind and caring at the Eastern Star Chalet and the St. Norbert Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held at Foxwarren United Church with interment at Zion Cemetery on Friday, August 4. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
