Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GRACE ROBERTS October 10, 1911 - July 28, 2000 Very peacefully in the Cottage Pavilion the Lord called Grace to her final resting place. Grace was born in Dauphin, Man. of parents, William and Mary (nee Maynard) Roberts. Graduation from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate was followed by teacher preparation at the Manitoba Normal School. Following 34 years teaching in Rorkton, Man. and Brittania and Athlone Schools in the St. James School Division in Winnipeg where in her latter years Grace was a specialist resource teacher, she retired in 1976. During the Second World War upon completion of studies in the Fundamental Bible School in Port Coquitlam, B.C. Grace served in the home missions of the Apostolic Church of Pentecost. With her life-long friend Muriel Crellin she ministered in Kenora, Ont. and Macoun, Sask. Together they conducted evangelistic services in B.C., Washington State and Oregon State. Since 1990 Grace resided in Abbotsford, B.C. She is predeceased by her parents; youngest brother Albert and nephew Paul Roberts. Surviving are brothers, E. Alfred (Elsie) Roberts formerly of Lynn Lake, Man. and now in Winnipeg, and Dr. H. Elgin Roberts of Smithers, B.C.; nieces and nephews, Barbara, Ruth, Mary Jo (David), David (Marianne), Bill and Dr. Ted Roberts. She will be dearly missed by her dear, caring friend Anne M. Stadnyk of Abbotsford with whom she resided for 42 years as well as her devoted friends, Phyllis Sharp and Irene Hick. During the past eight months Grace was wonderfully, and tenderly cared for at the MSA Hospital and its affiliated Cottage Pavilion in Abbotsford. Many special thanks to care-givers and nurses, Patrick, Linda, Bonnie, Marlene, Erica, Anne, Lisa, Pat, Nancy, Davinder, Helen, Joan, Betty, Satvir, Ingrid, Cheryl, Marilyn B. Gurpreet, Gurinder and Angela. A very special thanks you to Dr. Ian Cappon of Abbotsford for his loving devotion in attending Graces physical needs and comfort. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly on Friday, August 4 at 10:30 a.m. with former pastor and dear friend Rev. Ernest Baumgartner of Edmonton officiating. Notice to follow in early September in Winnipeg announcing a graveside service and interment in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Global Outreach Foundation (John Abraham Ministries), Box 2190, Abbotsford, B.C. V2T 3X8. Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, B.C. is in charge of arrangements.
