MYRLA RUTH WILD (nee EASTON) It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Myrla Ruth Wild, on August 1, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 80. She will be remembered lovingly by her husband of 57 years Ralph; her children, Barry (Ingrid and Brenda), Karen (Irwin) Kumka, Craig (Cathi) grandchildren, Nathan Toby (Vicki), Gillian, Bryce, Calin and Chaye; brother Harry (Marie) Easton; sister Erma (Jim) Hotchkiss; and many other special relatives and friends. Myrla graduated as a registered nurse from the Grace Hospital in 1941. Myrla and Ralph were married June 12, 1943 at Home Street United Church. Many a happy summer was spent at the family cottage at Gull Lake where she enjoyed hosting countless parties for family and friends. Seventeen warm winters were enjoyed in Texas, where she met many new friends. Dancing, painting, and handicrafts and being a member of the Daughters of the Nile were just a few of her many activities. A celebration of Myrlas life will be held on Friday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m., at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor, with Rev. Eleanor Geib and Rev. Terry Hidichuk officiating. Myrla has requested that her body be donated for medical research purposes. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
