MARY ZACHARUK It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Zacharuk, on Tuesday, August 1, 2000, at the Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Metro in 1978. Mary leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her loving daughter Victoria (Vicky) grandchildren, Lisa (Steve), Richard and Karen, all residing in Toronto. Mary was born in Bukavena, Celo, Berhomet and came to Canada in 1928. She settled in Alberta for two and one half years and spent the remainder of her life in Winnipeg. Mary was employed for a number of years with the Royal Alexander Hotel. She was an active member with the U.N.F. Society and the Senior Citizens Central. She will be remembered as a hard worker and a very loving mother and grandmother. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Very Rev. John Melnyk officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home for their care and kindness.
