VICTOR S. JACOBSON The family of Victor S. Jacobson wishes to advise his many friends in Winnipeg of his recent passing in Swift Current, Sask. Victor spent the last 40 years in Swift Current, Sask., but he was well known throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, where he travelled for years as a representative for Hastings Piston Rings. The companys sales motto "Tough, but oh so gentle", was a perfect description of dad. Tough, when he had to be, but oh so gentle, especially when his family or friends needed help. Victor is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Jacobson of Swift Current, Sask.; one son Dave Jacobson of Oakbank, Man.; two daughters, Janice Randal of Iqualit, Nunavut, and Anne Hammond of Red Deer, Alta.; also, by two brothers, Clifford and Clarence Jacobson, and two sisters, Inga Smart and Margaret Hornberd. Victor was born in Teulon, Man. on December 5, 1910. His family resided in the Balmoral area for years. This tough but gentle man is going to be missed. But we do not say goodbye, for his vibrant Norwegian spirit lives on forever in our hearts.
