PHYLLIS DeCEULENEER (nee ADAMS) With tremendous sorrow we announce the passing of our dear mother, devoted grandmother, sister and great friend, Phyllis DeCeuleneer on Tuesday, August 1, 2000. After a battle with cancer she passed away with dignity and courage surrounded by those who love her. Left to mourn Phyllis and treasure her memory are her children, Alan and wife Lisa of Swan Lake, Man., Glen of Penticton, B.C., Faye and husband Brian Baette of Swan Lake, Man., Lisa Labossiere and partner Julien of Winnipeg and her five grandchildren, Peter, Shandi, Landon, Jessie and Justin; also her brothers, Brian, Don and wife Lev, John and wife Joyce; one sister-in-law Dee Adams; cousin Beryl Hammerton and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was born in Summerland, B.C. where she loved to return for visits with her family still there. After many years raising her family on the farm in Swan Lake, Man., Phyllis moved to Winnipeg where she easily developed new friendships and many new interests in her life. With her gentle and caring nature, Phyllis touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the Riverview Palliative Care Centre, where new friendships and bonds were created. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and her spirit. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1990; son-in-law Remi in 1996; brother Gerald Adams in 1987; foster sister Pauline Jensen in 1993; and parents, Kathleen and Clarence in 1977. Special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion shown to our dear Phyllis. Memorial service will be conducted from the St. Bartholomews Anglican Church, Winnipeg, Man. on Tuesday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish donations may be made in Phyllis memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 2B7. "Your memory is in our hearts forever." Budz Funeral Service of Holland, Man. in care of arrangements, 526-2380.
