MICHAEL (MIKE) HLADY It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Mike Hlady of Beausejour, Man., on Thursday, August 3, 2000, at the age of 81 years. Mike will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Elsie; his son Allan and wife Janet and their sons, Bradley and Michael; his son Ken and his wife Karen and their children Sherri, Kathy and Andrew; and his daughter Pat Ojah and her children, Susan, Kristin, and Mark. He was predeceased by his parents Dora and Andrew; brothers Steve, Fred, Pete and Bill; sister Mary and son-in-law Ingram. Mike was born in Cromwell in 1919, farmed the family homestead until 1952, and then moved his family to Beausejour. He owned and operated Beausejour Redi-Mix Concrete until his retirement in 1977. He and Elsie spent happy winters in Florida and summers in Manitoba until they settled back in Beausejour in 1996. He enjoyed the active life at the Seniors Centre with many friends. Prayers will be said at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour, on Sunday, August 6, at 7:30 p.m. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, August 7, 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour, with Rev. Deacon Victor Homnitski officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
