JESSIE FRANCES ELIZABETH PYNE March 26, 1912 - August 1, 2000 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with complications from diabetes, Gran left this part of her life and joined Grampa to begin the next. She will be forever remembered and missed by her three children, Iain (Carol) of Essex, Ont., Rosemary Stevens and Robert (Dianne) of Winnipeg. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, Darren and Jason Pyne of Essex, Andrea Stevens, Brenda, Gary, and Jennifer Pyne. Gran will also be missed by family in Kent, England and by her many friends. Gran was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in 1987 and by her three brothers and sister. Gran came to Canada from England in 1946 on the Queen Mary with her young family as a war bride. She was active in the Weston Salvation Army Corps and in groups such as Guiding and Scouting. She was a strong believer in God who was "Just a prayer away from his children." At Grans request cremation and a private family interment has taken place. A celebration of Grans life will take place on Wednesday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles United Church, 673 Isbister, with Rev. George Davidson and Ms. Joyce Ladouceur officiating (with reception to follow). Special thanks go out to Dr. Kotecha and the fifth floor nursing staff at the Grace Hospital. Also, thank you to Joyce Ladouceur, Rev. Davidson, Shirley Rynbend, Carrie Powell, Margaret Stewart and to everyone at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home where Gran lived for the past nine months. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Charles United Church would be appreciated in memory of Gran.
