Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN DUECK (nee PENNER) Peacefully on August 2, 2000 at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and friend, went to her eternal rest. Helen will be sorrowfully missed by her daughters and sons: Mary Toews (Art), Helen Kehler (Henry), Jake Dueck, Ernest Dueck (Yvette), Edward Dueck, Agnes Kluke (Victor), Eric Dueck (Anne) and Frank Dueck. Helen will also be lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Helen was predeceased by her husband Jacob of 56 years in 1983, one brother, six sisters and parents Erdman and Maria Penner. Helen was born and raised in Niverville, Man. She enjoyed being a loving wife to Jacob and raising her eight children. She would love to knit or crochet on her leisure time. Prayers will be held Saturday, August 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with viewing prior. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Niverville Chortitzer Mennonite Church. Interment will follow in Niverville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jarold Kehler, Les Toews, Ken Dueck, Kevin Dueck, Curtis Kluke and Corey Kluke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 4G2. God saw her getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around her and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
