DORIS ROSE TAYLOR After a lengthy illness, Doris passed away on August 3, 2000, at the Health Sciences Centre. Doris was born in Kingston, Ont., December 6, 1921, and lived her early life in Westbrook, Ont. She was predeceased by her father Percival Wright, her mother Salome Rose Wright and her stepmother Evelyn Jean Wright and brother Warren Wright. She is survived by her husband Garth; sister Carol (Michael) Wade and by a loving family, daughter Lynn (Jerry) Butler and son Brian (Kathy) Taylor. In later years, she was intensely proud of five grandchildren, Rob, Jenny and Catherine Butler and Michael and Lindsay Taylor. Doris was active for many years at Westworth United Church. During her lifetime, her focus was always on her family and her times with them during family gatherings and at the cottage at Victoria Beach. She faced a long illness with outstanding courage and dignity, which is remembered by all those around her. The family recognizes the compassion and care from the staff at St. Boniface and Health Sciences Centre and especially the dialysis units. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Flowers are gratefully declined.
