BRUCE KENNETH ROWSON With great sadness we announce the passing of Bruce Kenneth Rowson, on Thursday, August 3, 2000, after a short struggle with lung cancer. Bruce was born on February 29, 1936, in Winnipeg, the youngest child of Myrtle and Arthur Rowson. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife Inez and children, Kevin and Lisa. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and dear family and friends, especially childhood friends, Steve and Elaine Didyk. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Pat Rowson (nee Jansen), brother Wes and sister Isabelle. Bruce worked for Canada Post for the past 28 years. He will be remembered for his captivating stories, his many great camping trips and sense of humour. He was loving, caring and generous with all of his family, friends and coworkers. He especially delighted in children who all cherished their "Uncle Bruce." In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruces memory may be made to the Resident Benefit Fund, Manitoba Development Centre, Box 1190 Portage la Prairie, Man., R1N 3C6, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 2B7. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 7, in the chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint). The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Marys Rd. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church hall. A private family interment will be held in the Garden of Devotion, Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
