PAUL CHERNECKI On August 1, 2000, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Paul passed away peacefully. Paul was born on January 9, 1919 in Fraserwood, MB. In 1943 he married Elizabeth Krasey. Paul was employed with Westroc Industries for 26 years and retired in 1984. He was predeceased by his parents, Ksenka and Stefan Chernecki; daughter Mary-Ann, sister-in-law Jean Cherneski; brothers-in-law, Mike Hnytika and Joe Valka; sister Anna Kostiuk. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth; sons, Richard (Sophie), Peter (Judy), Bert (Victoria), Donald (Monika) grandchildren, Michael, Teresa, Nichole and Stephen; brother Nick Cherneski and sisters, Mary Hnytika, Katie Budniak and Nettie Valka. His progressive illness for the last several years did not deter his zest for life. Paul was thankful for spending his remaining years at home with his family. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their dedication and many thanks to Home care. Prayers will take place on Tuesday, August 8, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 9 at 10:30 a.m. also in the chapel. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be sons Richard, Peter, Bert and Donald, grandson Michael and nephew Ted Budniak.
