ETHEL UNA MAGUIRE (nee GRANT) On August 3, 2000 at the age of 91, Ethel Maguire, widow of William (Bill) passed away peacefully at Central Park Lodge, 70 Poseidon Bay. She leaves to mourn her two sons, Robert (Thelma) and Brian (Linda) granddaughter Rachel; sister Winnefred and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Stanley and sister Lil. Ethel was born in Pigeon Lake, Manitoba on January 16, 1909, and will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She spent many years working at the YWCA as well as the Assiniboine Golf Club, Assiniboine Downs and the Granite Curling Club. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
