Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMELIA (MILDRED) YACKABOWSKI (nee BADOWICZ) It is with the greatest of sadness that we must announce the passing our mother, Amelia, on July 27, 2000 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by her husband Michael (Mike). She will be forever remembered by her family Gerald and Darryl of Courtenay, BC, Lawrence and Deborah of Clearwater, BC; grandchildren, Susan, Bryan and Dallas. Amelia was born and raised in Winnipeg and graduated from Isaac Newton. Upon graduation, she undertook a short career as a seamstress in Montreal. Upon returning to Winnipeg she spent several years as a homemaker. She later spent many years at Eatons in the Fabric Department and she retired from Hudsons Bay, Fabric and Coat Department. She will be greatly missed by all her dearest of friends, Kay, Marge, Jean, Win, her swim buds at the NCS, and the greatest of neighbours, Ric and Deanne. Many thanks to the nurses on Unit 3U, Seven Oaks Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined, please consider a donation to any charity. Cremation has taken place and a Family and Friend Gathering will be held on August 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bourkevale Community Club, 100 Ferry Rd., South of Portage Avenue.
