Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNA RAE JACOBSON It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Donna Rae Jacobson on August 4, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital. She was the wife and soulmate of Jim Jacobson for 32 years. Donna was born in Winnipeg in 1946, educated in West Kildonan and was employed as a secretary for I.B.M. Canada. She had an outgoing personality and was a devoted mother to Bradley James and Jordan Arthur and their pet poodle Shades. Donna was instrumental in the foundation of Angus McKay Nursery School where she served on the executive for four years as President in 1978. It was through this involvement that she added to her treasured circle of friends. Donna volunteered many hours at Donwood School, Concordia Hospital and for Meals-on-Wheels. She was a gracious hostess. Entertaining family and friends gave her great pleasure. Gardening was a hobby she enjoyed with Jim both at home and at their cottage in Lakeshore Heights. Donna was predeceased by her father Arthur Ristock; her parents-in-law, Marion and Mel Jacobson and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Forquer and Rene Jacobson. She will be fondly remembered by her best friend and mother Zenath Ristock; her twin brother Glenn and his children, Sherisse, Dara and Richard and loving relatives in Winnipeg, B.C., Toronto, Denver and Los Angeles. Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined in favour of contribution to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. "Your memory will live in our hearts forever" Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
