JACOB KROEKER With great sadness we announce the passing of Jacob Kroeker, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on Friday, August 4, 2000, at Misericordia Health Centre. He went to be with his Lord after a struggle with cancer and heart disease. He was born in Rosenort in 1914 and had three brothers and ten sisters. He is survived by two brothers and seven sisters. He married Annie Dueck in 1939, on his birthday, November 12. She predeceased him in 1977. He will be remembered by his son Gordon (Anita) and grandchildren, Cameron (Corrina) and Carolynn (Chris). His great-granddaughter Ashley brought him much joy; also his son Eldon (Marlene) and grandchildren, Melanie, Donovan, Aaron and Rachael. Jacob is survived by his devoted wife Margaret who he married in 1979. They spent almost 21 loving years together. Jacob also leaves to mourn many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The viewing and devotional service will occur at Braeside E.M.C. Church, located at 1011 Munroe Ave., at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8. The funeral service will be held in the same church on Wednesday, August 9, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mennonite Memorial Gardens. Special thanks are expressed to all the health professionals at Concordia Hospital and Misericordia Health Centre on Cornish 2. Thanks go to Dr. Dormer as well as friends and family for their love, compassion, prayers and visits. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or E.M.C. Missions.
