Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE (JEAN) MCRAE (nee CAMPBELL) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Jane McRae on August 4, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband Archie in 1956; son James; great-grandson Allen; great great-grandson Matthew; three brothers, David, James and Mathew; four sisters, Elizabeth, Agnes, Sarah and Catherine. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Forbes and wife Ruth of Grandview, MB, Campbell and wife Margaret of Cremona, AB; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, one sister Minnie Cassidy of Fort St. John, BC; one brother Albert Campbell and wife Florence of Chilliwack, BC and many nieces and nephews. Jane was born September 7, 1898 in Parish of Saint Field, County Down, Ireland. She was the fifth child of Mr. and Mrs. James Campbell. They emigrated to Canada in 1904 and settled in the Austin, MB area. She received her education at Norfolk School, worked as a MTS operator, then married Archie McRae on December 12, 1923. They farmed at Edrans, Westborne and Carman, MB. In 1959 she moved to Portage la Prairie where she has since resided. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Omega Funeral Home, Royal Road South, Portage la Prairie, with interment in the family plot in the Carman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, 205 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1R4 or charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff, doctors and nurses for all the wonderful care given to our mother at the Lions Prairie Manor, Portage la Prairie. The Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, are in care of the arrangements.
