VIRGILIO "VIRG" R. BALLELOS We sadly announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and brother Virgilio on August 4, 2000 at Riverview Health Centre. Virgilio will be missed by his loving wife Rosa (nee Hemendez) his son Michael; twin daughters, Vheryrose and Vherylynn (boyfriend Ryan Mutuc) his parents, Marcelo and Eugenia in the Philippines; brothers - Kuya Belong (Remy), Cano (Nila) and Avelino (Aida) also in the Philippines; sisters, Belen (Cesar) their daughters, K.C. and Lind in Winnipeg and Rosenda (Albert) in Alaska, the Oyat Batalla family from San Diego; his sisters-in-law, Luz (Ben) and their son Arnold, Undeng in Winnipeg and the rest of the Hemedez family in the Philippines. He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and the Philippines. "Lo Lo dont forget Nikka". Virgilios mother-in-law and father-in-law, sisters and brothers-in-law, sister Coring and Kakang are waiting to welcome him to Heaven. Virgilio was a happy man who always smiled and brought laughter and joy to all those he touched. He was a strong and independent man. He loved camping, travelling, playing cards and mahjong. His camping and travelling companions will miss their navigator. He will also be missed by his co-workers at Health Science Centre (Childrens OR) where he worked for 20 years. His family would like to thank all the family and close friends, especially St. Anthonys Prayer Group for their support and care during their time of need. A special thank you to all the staff on 3E at Riverview Health Centre, especially Dr. Marr, nurses, Krystal, Linda and the midnight shift nurses. Rosa thanks Jostens Canada Limited especially H.R. and Finance Staff for their consideration. Pallbearers will be Phil Anciro, Boy Andrade, Demos Andulan, Tony Bantados, Vic Biluan, Christian Laqui, Robert Luna, Eddie Mapola, Ben Negrillo, Peter Paulo, Robert Santos and Rolly Sta. Rosa. Lamay will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home (455 Lagimodiere Blvd). Viewing will be from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 with prayers at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10 also at Glen Lawn. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Monsignor Maurice Comeault at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11 at St. Peters Church (748 Keewatin). Interment in the Garden of Traditions in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre.
