GORDON (GORDIE) KENNETH a It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Gordon Miller of Winnipeg, Man., on Sunday, August 6, 2000 at the age of 72 years at the Concordia Hospital. Gordie will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Vi; his son Kirk and wife Janice; his daughter Janice and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bud and Helen Hambleton and family. He was predeceased by his parents John and Matilda and his infant brother John. Gordie retired from Carling Okeefes Brewery after many years of working there. Gordie was very involved in many sports throughout his life. Whether it was playing or coaching. He loved Baseball, Lacrosse, Hockey and Golf. He cherished the many lifelong friendships he and his family developed through sports. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Gordies memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8 or to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Man., R3L 0S6.
