LEONARD GILLMAN
Date of Passing: Aug 08, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD GILLMAN After a lengthy illness, Leonard Gillman passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on August 8, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Freda; children, Gerry and Lionel, Pam and Walter; and grandchildren, Jamey, Casey, and Laney. Leonard was a principled man with a strong work ethic. He was a generous man who gave to the people in his life in so many ways. He worked hard for over 50 years, first in the armed forces, and then in business, supporting his family relentlessly. Family and friends were so important to him, and he was always available to fix something, drive someone, and help out wherever he could. His satisfaction and contentment came from "doing" for someone else. He will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his ability to fix anything, and for his devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren. Thank-you to the staff on 3 East at Riverview for their gentle, respectful care. There will be a graveside service at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 9. Donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
