REETA HOURIE Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Reeta Hourie, aged 75 years of Selkirk. She was predeceased by her husband Victor and their stepchildren, Sonny, Elsie, Verna and Doreen; her sister Jean and brother Tom. Left to mourn her passing are her beloved great-grandson, Sean and his mother Susie, who cared for Reeta during her illness and been a wonderful friend. Also surviving are two special grandchildren, Lynne and Raymond, who were raised by Victor and Reeta; one sister Agnes and many nieces and nephews in England. Reeta is also survived by many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her two special friends, Linda Taylor and Ina Dubeski. Reeta was born in London, England in 1925, and lived there during the Second World War and immigrated to Canada in 1948 where she met and married Victor in 1949.
