MASON With great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Trevor Mason, beloved husband of Fran, after a battle with cancer at the Selkirk and District General Hospital on August 7, 2000, at the age of 73 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Fran; three sons, Dan (Catherine), Bob (Jackie) of Regina and Bill (Pat) two daughters Wendy (Tom) Hagidiakow and Nancy (Gabe) Lizana, as well as 15 grandchildren and "Rocky". Trev was born and educated in Winnipeg. He married Francis Irving on September 27, 1947 and raised a family of five children. He was employed at Motor Coach Industries until retirement in 1992. In 1990, they moved out to their beloved summer home near Beaconia where they spent many happy years. In his younger years, Trev enjoyed working with cubs and coaching hockey in St. James. His favourite times, though were the hours spent camping, fishing and hunting with his family. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment of ashes to take place in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family thanks the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Selkirk Hospital for their compassionate care. Heartfelt thanks also go out to friends and neighbours in Boulder Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations in Trevors memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, 100 Easton Dr., Selkirk, Man., R1A 2M2. My grandfather was a great man and loved the bomber games and was always very happy to be around, he will be missed a lot from me it's been and my family.
