ANNA TURICK (nee KIS) September 11, 1914 August 5, 2000 Peacefully on Saturday, August 5 our beloved mother, "baba" and great-grandmother left us to enter the loving arms of the Lord. To cherish her memory Baba leaves her daughter Sonia Onysko (James), their children, Ken (Angela), Randy (Kelly) of Winnipeg and Brad (Paula) of Calgary; her sons, Michael (Sharon) of Vita; their children, Vicki Ewacha (Terry), Carolyn, Darcy (Marc), Lisa, of Winnipeg, Lorissa Hiebert (Matthew) of Grunthal, Peter (Florence), their children, Tammy Tostowaryk (Jason) of Vita, Jeffrey (Vivian) of Winnipeg, Russell (Cecelia), their children, Andrea, Benjamin and Christopher of Winnipeg, daughter-in-law Edith (Walter - deceased) and her children, Tara and Lawrence of Calgary, Robert of Morden, Charles (Anne) his daughter Rachel and his stepdaughter Kim, all of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Shawn Ewacha and Nicholas Tostowaryk; one sister Mary Bugera of Vita; two sisters-in-law, Olga Kis, Emily Turick of Winnipeg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Baba was predeceased by her husband John in 1990; son Walter in 1994; sons, William and David in infancy; her parents, Petro and Franka; four brothers, Steve, Mike, Joe and Nick. Baba will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all those who knew her. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, August 9, 7:30 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 10 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vita with Rev. Ihor Royik officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Terry Ewacha, Ken Onysko, Randy Onysko, Benjamin Turyk, Christopher Turyk, Robert Turick. Honorary pallbearers Rachel Turick, Marc Bourgeois.
