NORMAN V. HUPPE Mr. Norman Victor Huppe of Winnipeg passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 7, 2000 at the age of 54 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Joan (nee Chopyk) three children, Chris (Alison), Glenn (Gillian) and Pam; his mother Irene Huppe; mother-in-law Anne Chopyk; sister Yvonne and Edward Kushniryk; brother-in-law Dennis and Mary Chopyk; sister-in-law Debby and Bryan Bohn; his nieces, Carey and Erin and nephews, Donald, Keith, Ronald and Jared. Norman was predeceased by his father Noel in 1982; father-in-law Peter in 1987 and sister Julie at infancy. Norman was born in Southhampton, England and was raised in Woodridge, MB. In 1970 he was married to Joan and resided in Winnipeg. Among his many interests, he loved to travel. He spent many holidays driving across Canada and there were not many roads in Southeast Manitoba he did not know. He was always looking forward to his next cruise to spend with his wife and bring back pictures and stories to share with his family and friends. He dedicated 34 years of his life working for the Canada Post Corporation and planned to retire in September 2000. A special thanks to family, friends and Home Care workers, Val and Ledjalem for their kindness, support and comfort throughout Normans illness. The family would also like to extend a very special thanks to Linda McKellar for the countless and selfless hours spent with Norman during this time. The encouragement and support Linda provided to the whole family will be forever remembered. An evening prayer will be held at St. Timothys Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd. at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 11 at St. Timothys Church at 11:00 a.m. The interment will take place in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Normans memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
