ANNIE MARGUERITE HOULE (nee MALCOLM) The family sadly announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who passed away on August 8, 2000 at the age of 67 years, with her family by her side. Annie will be sadly missed by her children, Vernon (Maxine) of Cardston, AB, Gordon (Sheila), Mike (Denise), Denis, John of Winnipeg, Cathy (Curtis), Louanne (Stanford), Darren (Giselle) of Portage la Prairie, including Earl (Maryanne), Teresa, Joseph, and Kathy (Frank) the four grandchildren she raised as her own. Her 39 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Theresa, Phillip (Gladys), Stewart (Joan), Robert (Jean), Jo-Ann (Roger), Randy (Brenda), Amanda, all of Ebb & Flow, Rose-Marie, Antonia (Clifford) of Calgary, Pearl, Janice of British Columbia, Loretta (Lester) of Little Saskatchewan; numerous nieces and nephews, and godchildren, including her sisters and brothers-in-law. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph; her four children, Anthony, Muriel, Martin, and Julian; her parents, James and Rosine Malcolm; one sister Gertrude and one brother Joseph. All are waiting to welcome her into heaven. Annie was born on July 13, 1933 and raised in Ebb & Flow until the age of 14 years. She then attended residential school in Sandy Bay. On January 28, 1952 she married Joseph Houle. She lived and raised her children in Sandy Bay until she departed. The Houle / Malcolm family graciously thank all the family, friends, community, and especially the HSC-MICU staff for all their great effort and support they provided. Wake services will be held at her residence in Sandy Bay. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sandy Bay, MB with Rev. Fr. Mike Nwasu officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandy Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers are Earl Houle, Cameron Houle, Joseph Houle, Justin Houle, Nathan Houle, and Anthony Bruce. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Malcolm, Stewart Malcolm, Robert Malcolm, Vernon, Gordon, Mike, Denis, John, and Darren Houle and the rest of the family. Clarkes Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
