Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVAN (JOHN) DUILO Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2000 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Ivan was born August 10, 1919 in Bogatic, Drnis, Croatia. Ivan was predeceased by his parents Marija and Pasko, and sister Milka. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 14 years Marija; daughter Nada Ivanisevic and husband Ivo; grandchildren Josip-Croata, Marjana, Jasmina, Susie and great-grandchild Jasmina of Montreal; son Zvonko Duilo and family of Montreal and grandchildren Suzy and Katherine; brothers Ante and Marko with family in Croatia; sister Ana and Marija in Croatia; cousin Katica and husband Jabob and family in Winnipeg; family Kasunic and McColm family of Winnipeg. While back in Croatia, John worked in a monastery in Visovac. He moved to Canada in 1958 and worked at a restaurant in Montreal and then up north in Revelstoke as a cook. Later he retired in Winnipeg and met his wife Marija. Papa John was very outgoing and pleasant man. He was always interested in others and went out of his way to make others feel comfortable. He loved to talk and learn about the lives of those around him. Prayers will be said on Thursday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Croatian Catholic Church of St. Nicholas Tavelich, 2688 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. also at the church. Interment Garden of Prayer, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Donations in Ivans memory may be made to the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba, Inc.
