MARY ALLISON GRAHAM December 3, 1913 - August, 9, 2000 On August 9, 2000, Allison passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughters home. She was the only daughter of James and Mary Munro of Burnside, Man. and was predeceased by her parents and only brother Gordon in 1992. Allison will always be in the hearts of her husband Alf of 52 years and four children, Sally (Fred) Keeley, Bruce (Janet) Graham, Myrna (Eric) Stefanson and Elaine (Reg) Sourisseau; her grandchildren, Alison, Claire, Bill, Jonathan, Ally, Angel, Adam, Kristen, Eric Jr., Jim, Dan (Becky) sisters-in-law, Marjorie Dalziel of Victoria, B.C., Jennie Graham of Watson, Sask., Norma Graham of Brandon, Man., Stella Munro of Portage la Prairie, as well as many nieces and nephews. Allison graduated from Winnipeg Normal School in 1932 and taught for ten years at Beaconsfield (Rignold), Image Creek and MacGregor. Feeling the stress of war, she joined the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1942 and serviced in Flin Flon, Sherridon, Neepawa and Portage. In 1948, Allison married Alfred Graham of Beaver, Man., and Sally became a beloved daughter. They farmed the family farm at Beaver until 1972, retired to Portage la Prairie in 1973 and enjoyed many happy years of retirement. In 1999 they moved to the Dalton Estates where they enjoyed the company of many friends. She had a life long interest in learning and education which she has instilled in her children and grandchildren. Her many activities included church and UCW membership, Ruth Rebekah Lodge, bridge club, baking, gardening, crocheting and entertaining numerous friends and relatives. She was a nature lover who appreciated flowers, birds and sunsets. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Al Schroeder and the VON Palliative Care team, as well as many friends and relatives. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Allisons life will take place at Trinity United Church, 15 Tupper St. S., Portage la Prairie, on Saturday, August 12, at 11:00 a.m. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, Man., R3E 0V9.
