JOHN A. (JACK) ATCHESON Early in the morning of August 9, 2000 Jack left this world peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his loving wife Vera; Lawrence and Joan, Shelley, Baldar and Dane. Jack sesrved with the RCAF and then with the Winnipeg Police Department, retiring after 36 years with the rank of patrol sargeant. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret. He was a Masonic member of Capitol Lodge No. 136. As requested cremation has taken place. There will be no service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Jacks memory may be made to the Cancer Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9. Many thanks to Drs. T. Morgan and Pat Harris for the extra years, Dr. D. Crawford for his care and the nurses and aides on the 5th floor, Unit 1, Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care. They truly are angels of mercy. Please hold him in your arms And treasure him with care, Make up for all he suffered And all he had to bear.
