NOREEN PHILLIPS (nee KELSO) Suddenly at her residence, Noreen Phillips passed away at the age of 74 years. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Harry, Jack and Allan; and a sister Molly. She will be remembered lovingly by her daughter Kathleen Adams (Ron) of Reynolds, ND; sons, Curtis (Diane) of Fort McMurray, AB, Jeffrey of Winnipeg, MB; twin sister Kathleen Murray (Grant) of Gimli, MB and Betty Norton (George) of Edmonton, AB. Granny will be missed by her ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Noreen was born and raised in the west end of Winnipeg, attending Principal Sparling and Daniel McIntyre schools. She was active as a Sunday School teacher and Cub leader at St. Judes Anglican Church. Noreen worked for many years with Aboriginal organizations and was known for her ready wit and loyal friendship. A graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, on Tuesday, august 15, 2000, at 3:00 p.m., (friends and family will meet at 2:45 p.m. at the first gate entrance), followed by a reception for family and friends. Flowers are gratefully declines, instead, Noreen asks that you visit a shut in.
