Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES ADAM GRANT We celebrate the long life of Mr. Jas A. Grant of Edmonton, who passed away peacefully on August 4, 2000, at age 96. His loved ones will forever remember the wonderful sense of humour, sparkling wit and bright smile that made him so dear to us. He is honoured as an accomplished athlete in his birthplace of Winnipeg, Man., and in Edmonton, where he continued to be an honorary and active member of the Glendale Golf and Country Club into his 90s. Jim played many sports including baseball, lacrosse, hockey and football for the Dokey Tigers and Tammany Tigers Athletic Clubs. He also curled for Ken Watson when Manitoba won the Brier in 1942. Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife Doris; sons, Jim (Carol) of Edmonton and Doug (Barb) of Vancouver; daughter Georgia (Tom) of Edmonton; and by his five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who are grateful to have known some of his kind, gentle wisdom. A private memorial service was held August 8. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
