MARGUERITE LAVOIE (nee OLIVER) The Lord of Life, in his infinite wisdom, called to His heavenly home Marguerite Lavoie on August 11, 2000 at the Riverview Health Centre. Marguerite leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Jeanne Cloutier and her brother Ernest Olivier, many cousins, nieces, nephews, good friends and many godchildren. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Victor on November 20, 1998 and her parents Eudore and Dorila Olivier (nee Guertin). Marguerite was born and raised in Ste. Agathe, MB. She married her husband Victor in 1954 and they shared 53 years together, during which time they travelled extensively. Over the years they made their home in California, Minnesota, Carmen, Winnipeg Beach and finally spent their remaining years in Winnipeg. Marguerites family and extended family would like to thank all the staff on Unit 3 at the Victoria Hospital, Unit 3E at Riverview Health Centre, Dr. Roy Smith and Fr. Morand for all their acts of kindness and care shown to Marguerite. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held to celebrate Marguerites life on Wednesday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy., with Rev. Fr. Patrick Morand presiding.
