Our Mom - Peggy Extremely strong Christian faith Mom loved Jesus and loved celebrating the Christian holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. She loved gospel music. Loved People Moms life centered around her family and friends. She gave everything to others. Mom made birthday cakes, Halloween cakes, graduation cakes, retirement cakes, end of school year cakes, bun trees at Christmas, and her ever popular perogies. She always remembered everyones special day. Her calendar is full of birthdays. She always kept a selection of gifts handy to give to others Giving of herself Mom would minimize her own illness to help or comfort others. She was truly unbelievable. In spite of a broken arm she still made and decorated cakes even when she was very sick. With one hand! Her left! Mom had a special love for nature. She loved the mountains in British Columbia, flowers, trees, prairie sunsets, sunshine and wheat fields. She loved the rocky bush in Ontario, berry and mushroom picking, camping, boating and fishing. Mom had a love for animals especially the family dog Joey Mom enjoyed attending church. She was a spiritual person. Our mom loved music. She especially enjoyed listening/watching her kids perform. She was our greatest fan. Mom loved to dance - a past time she learned from her own mother - jiving, twisting and the Ukrainian polka. She enjoyed attending concerts and loved the music of Steve Bell and Joe Brauen. As her children we were the greatest recipients of her love. We were so blessed to have her as our mother. She took great joy in planning family days when we could be "all together". The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Life Baptist Church, Stonewall.
