ROBERT V. ANDERSON Bob passed away peacefully, after a long struggle with Alzheimers, surrounded by his family on Friday, August 11, 2000. Born October 24, 1929 in Teulon, Man., the only child of Victor and Lily Anderson. Bob came to Sioux Lookout in 1946 and operated Andersons Camp with his parents until 1973. In 1974 he started A&K Builders Supplies and retired in 1989 due to ill health. Bob is survived by his loving family, his wife Marjorie (nee Beckett) daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Vinczeffy of Sioux Lookout, Catherine (Stewart) Clark of Winnipeg, Man. and son Mark (Victoria) Anderson of Sioux Lookout, Ont.; his grandchildren, Karen, Carla and Kevin Vinczeffy, Amanda Clark, Ryan, Joel and Lana Anderson; sister-in-law Merle Bryson of Thompson, Man.; brother-in-law Bill Beckett and his wife Margaret-Ann of Ashern, Man. Also survived by uncles, Bill Anderson of Toronto, Ont., Bob Crichton, Calgary, Alta.; aunts, Helen Sims, Winnipeg, Man., Mayme Anderson, Ashern, Man. and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and infant son Johnny. The family wishes to thank the staff of The William A. George Extended Care facility for the loving care and compassion they gave to Bob and his family over the past four years. Special thanks to Dr. Jon Morgan for his great care and support. Also many thanks to Vimy and Fred Radford for their endless support throughout the years. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marys Anglican Church with Rev. Susan Barclay officiating. Interment to follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or to the William A. George Extended Care Activity Program through the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home, Box 1449, 128 Front Street, Sioux Lookout, Ontario, P8T 1B9.
