Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES WILLIAM HAVELOCK Charles passed away peacefully on August 11, 2000, at the Country Village Nursing Home, Woodslee, at the age of 94. His beloved wife Zena predeceased him in February, 1998. Charles will be greatly missed by his devoted daughters, Diana of Leucadia, CA and Elizabeth of Windsor, ON; his son-in-law Al Malone of Windsor; and his grandsons, Jerome Peacock (Veronica) of Encinitas, CA and Martin Diamond-Peacock (Lisa) of Carlsbad, CA. Charles was born in 1906 near Gimli, MB, the eldest of 12 children of Nykola and Anna, both deceased. He will be sadly missed by sisters, Mary, Helen, Rose (Louie), Pauline and Alda (Richard) brother Fred; sisters-in-law, Jean, Hazel, Winnie and Irene Johnson; brother-in-law Bill Norris; aunt Toni Harlock and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister Nellie (Ralph) brothers, Peter (Celia), Mac, Ivan and Sam; sister-in-law Olga Zylich and brothers-in-law, Matt and Joe. Charles was a loving father and husband, and a lifelong educator. He held a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor and was a graduate of Brandon Teachers College. He taught school in Manitoba and Saskatchewan in the 1920s and 30s and was Principal of Killarney High School in Killarney, MB, where he also founded the Havelock Museum of Natural History. He was assistant-superintendent of the Ford Trade School in Windsor from 1946 to 1958, and taught science and math at J.L. Forster Collegiate in Windsor from 1958 until his retirement in the early 1970s. He also was a sessional instructor at St. Clair College, Windsor. In accordance with Charles wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial observance will follow at a later date. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Country Village for the excellent care and kindness shown to Charles over the past two years. BISNETT FUNERAL HOME
