Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVALERIE MARY GALAY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, on Sunday, August 13, 2000. Val will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Ron; her children, Josephine (Richard), Stewart (Tannis) and Nicole; grandsons, Bradley, Benjamin and Dylan; also her brother Bernard (Shirley) sister Angela; special friend Gerda; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Stanley and mother Bernice. Val was born at St. Boniface Hospital on May 8, 1949 and was raised in the Ladywood area. Val and Ron were married April 20, 1968 and lived in Beausejour. Val was a legal secretary and was employed by Middleton and Middleton Law Firm for approximately 24 years until the time of her illness. Val was always the person who took care of everyone else. Her biggest hobby was her family. She was the person to lean on, talk to and confide in. Val had a tremendous amount of dedication to her grandsons and received much joy and many hugs from them. Numerous organizations benefited from her being a volunteer. She was the Secretary for the Beausejour Brokenhead Memorial Arena for 18 years. Val was quick to make friends and kept in touch with most of them. Val touched the hearts of many and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Lotocki and the staff on ward B3 at St. Boniface Hospital, Dr. Campbell, Dr. Dueck, Dr. Schmidt and the staff at Beausejour Hospital, the Beausejour ambulance attendants who took care of Val, and all the family and friends who were thinking of her and praying for her. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, with Fr. Owen Steeves officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rose Roskivich, Shirley Sikora, Louis Gmiterek, Wayne Sikora, Allan Wielgosh, and John Wielgosh. Honorary pallbearers will be Wally Cyncora, Bill Greschuk, Wilfred Golembioski and Larry Golembioski. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Beausejour and District Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB.
